It is high. It is angled. And it is where every mistake shows from the street.
A sagging section of roofline lighting is visible from a block away. A gap where a strand came up short is visible from two blocks. This is the element people actually judge, and it is the element that is hardest to get right.

Measurement and Custom Fabrication
We do not buy strands and hope they reach. We measure every run on your roof, then fabricate the strands to that exact length. No extension cords bridging a gap, no doubled-over section where a strand ran long, no dark stretch where it ran short.

Clip Selection
There is no universal clip. Shingle clips, gutter clips, ridge clips, and parapet clips all exist because rooflines are all different, and using the wrong one is how damage happens.
Anyone stapling or nailing strands to your fascia should be asked to leave. It is not necessary, and you will be looking at those holes long after the lights come down.
Peaks, Dormers, and Complex Rooflines
Older homes in Haddonfield and Moorestown are full of dormers, gables, and peaks that do not line up. This is where the job gets interesting. A complex roofline lit well looks spectacular, because the light is tracing architecture that was designed to be looked at.

One Story, Two Story, Three Story
Single story ranch homes are the easy ones. Ladder work, straightforward, usually a same-day install.
Two story is where most homeowners stop doing it themselves, and where most of our residential roofline work lives. It requires proper ladder setup, stabilizers, and a crew, not one person and a hope.
Three story and up, along with steep pitches, is specialty work. Depending on access we may bring a lift. Shore properties in Atlantic County add wind. Some homes in Mercer County add pitch steep enough that walking the roof is simply not an option, and everything has to be done from the ladder line.
Commercial buildings with flat roofs and tall parapets are a different discipline again. That work is covered under commercial holiday lighting.
Why Roofline Work Is the Wrong Place to Save Money
Ask any installer for their certificate of insurance. If they are working at height on your property and they are not carrying general liability and workers compensation, the exposure lands on you. A guy with a ladder and a truck is not carrying that coverage, and if he goes off your roof, that becomes your problem in a way that is genuinely serious.
The other cost is your house. Bent gutters, lifted shingles, and nail holes in fascia are cheap to cause and expensive to fix. Roofline damage from bad light installation shows up months later, usually as a leak.

Roofline christmas light installation is priced by linear footage and by difficulty. Height, pitch, and access all move the number. A single story ranch in Gloucester County with a low pitch and clear ground access is the low end. A three story home in Mercer County with a steep roof and landscaping crowding the ladder line is the high end, and the gap between them is substantial.

Are you insured to work on my roof?
Yes. We carry general liability and workers compensation. Any contractor working at height on your property should be able to produce certificates of insurance without hesitation. If they cannot, the liability for a fall on your property may become yours.
Do you use my lights or provide your own?
We provide commercial-grade product cut to fit your roofline. Retail strands are not built for eight weeks of exposure, and using them means gaps, extension cords, and mid-season failures. Our strands are fabricated to your exact measurements and stored for you between seasons.
